What is Collagen Peptide Powder

Collagen peptide powder is a powder that helps provide you with the non-essential amino acids that are needed to produce collagen. Our formula is a flavourless and bioavailable powder that can be easily soluble in hot and cold liquids – making it a staple when adding it to recipes. Check out how we add our collagen peptide powder in our blackberry chicken salad.

How to Make Blackberry Chicken Salad

3-4 Servings

Dressing Ingredients:

  • 4g Blackberries
  • 2 tbsps White balsamic vinegar
  •  2 tbsps Extra virgin oil
  •  2 tbsps Honey
  • 2 tbsps Mustard
  • 1 scoop Vital Proteins Collagen Peptide Powder

Chicken Ingredients:

  • Coconut oil
  • 450g Chicken breasts

Salad Ingredients

  • 8g Blackberries
  • 1 Avocado, sliced
  • 450g Lettuce
  • 10g red onion, sliced
  • 150g Walnuts
  • 10g Chives
  • 114g Cherry tomato
  • Handful fresh chopped basil and coriander

Dressing Method:

1. For the dressing, mash all the blackberries down until you get a puree and combine with the rest of the ingredients, until thoroughly mixed.

Chicken Directions:

1. Heat up a medium sized pan on a high heat. Add a scoop of coconut oil and thoroughly coat the pan.

2. Once the pan has heated up, add the chicken to the pan and continue to fry on a hot heat. You want to make sure you cook each side of chicken for 7-8 minutes.

3. Remove the heat and allow to cool.

4. Once the chicken is cool, cut it into strips.

Salad Directions:

1. Chop all your salad ingredients and assemble them into a salad bowl.

2. Place the cooked chicken strips into the salad evenly.

3. Pour the dressing, and enjoy!
